Binance To Kick Off Blockchain And Cryptocurrency Awareness Campus Tour Across East Africa

Youths make up 60% of East Africa’s population. What better way to grow blockchain adoption than by educating this demographic on crypto?

We are happy to announce the very first edition of the Binance Campus Tour, taking place from 15th September to 22nd September 2022 at the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) in Nairobi, Kenya

.The tour spans multiple campuses within East Africa, with the JKUAT being the first. Binance has partnered with Eddie Butita, a popular Kenyan comedian and content creator, for the week-long event filled with fun and engaging blockchain activities. The exciting week will close with a mini concert and talent showcase. 

Binance Campus Tour seeks to empower thousands of youths from all walks of life by educating them on:

  • The history of money and how it has evolved

  • The meaning of blockchain and cryptocurrency

  • The concept of peer-to-peer (P2P) trading 

  • How to leverage NFTs on the global market

  • What SocialFi is 

  • How to send money and pay for goods using Binance Pay

  • How to meet their favorite creators live in the Metaverse

  • Career opportunities in crypto

As interest in blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies continues to grow in Africa, specifically in the East African region, this particular event is expected to reach over 3,000 youths.
