Binance Kicks Off Blockchain and Cryptocurrency Awareness Tour Across Africa

We are happy to announce the Binance Blockchain and Cryptocurrency Awareness Tour (BCAT) Africa, 2022 aimed at driving crypto adoption and spreading blockchain education across Africa. BCAT is a blockchain and cryptocurrency awareness campaign with the goal of empowering millions of people across the continent through blockchain and cryptocurrency networks and education across Africa. 

The BCAT 2022 tour will kick off in South Eastern, Nigeria, followed by countries such as Uganda, Ghana and Cameroon. The Binance BCAT Africa South East event will take place on the 4th of June, 2022 at the Amadeo Event Centre, Enugu State, Nigeria at 9 AM.

Since its inception in 2019, The Blockchain and Cryptocurrency Awareness campaign has reached over 60,000 Africans. The South East Edition is targeted at Nigerians across the five Eastern States in Nigeria; Imo, Anambra, Abia, Enugu and Ebonyi.

The Binance BCAT is aimed at helping people understand the following:

  • Meaning of blockchain and cryptocurrency

  • The concept of Play2Earn (P2E) 

  • Introduction to NFTs

  • Introduction to SocialFi 

  • The concept of Move2Earn

  • Understanding the Metaverse

  • Career opportunities in crypto

As interest in blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies continue to grow on the continent, and specifically in the South Eastern region of Nigeria, the inaugural BCAT 2022 event is expected to host over 5000 South Easterners.
