🗳️ US Midterms: Priced In, or a Volatility Trap?
Americans vote Nov 3, and results start arriving around 00:00 UTC on Nov 4. Prediction markets lean toward a Democratic sweep (Kalshi ~63%, Polymarket ~67% in late October), with the House near-certain and the Senate far tighter.
Why crypto cares: the CLARITY Act passed the House but failed a Senate procedural vote 49–50 on Sep 15. Analysts disagree on the effect: TD Cowen sees a Democratic sweep stalling it, while Stand With Crypto expects bipartisan support to survive.
My take: with Bitcoin already below $80K, a sweep may be partly priced in. A surprise, like a GOP hold or a Senate flip, could move markets more. Altcoins look more exposed to regulation headlines than $BTC .
Watching: early Senate calls (TX, ME, MI, OH), CLARITY Act comments, and liquidity near key BTC levels.
Which outcome is most bullish for crypto: Dem sweep, split Congress, or GOP hold?
