The ETF bleed is slowing. It hasn't stopped.

US spot bitcoin ETFs lost $228.4M last week (Oct 12–16) — down 66% from the prior week's $678.9M, per Farside Investors data. Ethereum ETFs lost $320.1M, their third straight down week, and October's ETH outflows are nearing $1B.

The twist: ETH funds are now bleeding harder than BTC funds, despite bitcoin's far bigger market. BlackRock's ETHA accounted for roughly $299M of the ETH outflow — about 93% of the category.

Why it matters: easing outflows are not the same as demand returning. BTC briefly dipped below $80K during the week and clawed back toward $82K, but net institutional flow is still red. The market is absorbing less selling — it isn't buying yet.

If ETH outflows keep running at this pace while BTC stabilizes, what does that tell you about institutional appetite for anything beyond bitcoin? NFA. DYOR.
