🦄 Two infrastructure releases pushed blockchain scaling and agentic payments forward. Lightning Labs CTO Olaoluwa Osuntokun published LayerTree, a non-custodial $BTC design that could let up to millions of users share one UTXO while retaining unilateral exits and Lightning connectivity. It is a proposal, not a live mainnet feature, because required covenant-related opcodes are not activated. Separately, $ANKR launched x402 pay-per-request RPC and agent tools on $MON mainnet. Autonomous agents can pay USDC for blockchain data without an account, API key or advance setup, enabling balance checks, contract reads and execution verification in one automated flow.
