$BAT 4Hr Analysis
At the start of October, price was stuck around 0.09, moving sideways with no real interest. Then around Oct 10 it woke up. Big green candles stacked one after another and it ripped to 0.17. After a quick breather it pushed again and tagged 0.224 on Oct 16. That's roughly 2.5x in two weeks.
From the top, sellers stepped in and price dropped to 0.191. That's not random: it's the 0.236 Fibonacci level, the first spot where strong trends usually pause and reload. Buyers showed up right there and bounced it back to 0.205. So far, a healthy pullback, not a breakdown.
Now the interesting part. Open interest jumped 35% in a day, so lots of new positions are opening. But funding is negative and the long/short ratio is 0.43, which means most of those new traders are SHORT, betting on a drop. They're also paying longs to hold. When that many shorts pile in during an uptrend and price pushes higher, they're forced to buy back. That's how short squeezes start.
The one thing missing is volume. The bounce from 0.191 came on light volume, about half the normal amount. MACD is also flattening. So the trend is up, but it needs fresh buying to break the high.
Resistance: 0.211โ0.216, then the big one at 0.2245
Support: 0.196, then 0.191 (Fib), then 0.186 (EMA21)
๐ข If price closes a 4h candle above 0.2245 with volume, that's a breakout to new highs. With no history above, the next targets come from Fib extensions: 0.26, then 0.30. The best entry would be a retest of 0.221โ0.2245.
๐ก If it dips first, 0.191โ0.196 is the zone where buyers should defend again.
๐ด If it closes below 0.186, momentum cools and 0.172 comes into play. Below 0.165, the higher-low structure breaks and the trend is in trouble, opening 0.156 and 0.142.
Strong trend, trapped shorts, healthy pullback. It just needs volume to confirm. No point chasing at 0.205 in the middle of the range. Let the chart show its hand first.
