Remember the Last Day. Plan the Last Trade.

Nana Patekar has passed away at 75, reported on 8 October 2026. May he rest in peace. My prayers are with his family.
He never spoke about trading, so I won’t put trading words in his mouth. But four days before he died, he said: “We all have to go someday. I don’t know whether I will be here tomorrow.” He also asked himself: “Have I made the effort?”
Here is what I take from that for trading.
1. Remember the end. Every trade closes, so plan the exit before the entry. That is my own weak spot. I have grown deposits 20 to 50 percent and never left at the right time.
2. Judge effort, not luck. He said the film may succeed or fail, but “your performance must be good.” A trade can lose even when I did everything right.
3. Don’t ride the highs and lows. One green day makes me proud and one red day makes me angry. Both lead to bad trades.
4. Enjoy life. It’s the weekend and the markets are quiet. Close the screens and sit with family.
What I CAN do: decide my exit first, risk small, and write one honest line in my journal each day.
What I CANNOT do: make any trade a sure win, or know what he thought of trading.
Not financial advice.
What does your journal ask you at the end of the day?
