$DOT is up about 10% in 24 hours with roughly $248M traded.
There is a fresh catalyst behind the move. Polkadot’s OpenGov referendum for dotUSD has been executed.
But there is an important detail in the rollout.
Phase one does not use DOT as collateral. Users can mint dotUSD 1:1 against USDT. DOT-backed vaults come in phase two.
That makes the next part more interesting than the launch headline itself. The market may already be pricing in what dotUSD could eventually do for DOT demand, while that mechanism is not live yet.
DOT is around $1.24 now. Holding above roughly $1.20 would keep most of this move intact. A slide back toward $1.10 would weaken it quickly.
