Aptos introduces new execution engine MonoMove
#Aptos has introduced #MonoMove , its new execution engine, calling it the largest scalability upgrade in the network’s history. The upgrade aims to improve the efficiency and security of on-chain financial transactions. Simulations using real Decibel mainnet transactions show MonoMove delivering significantly faster execution than the existing Move VM, up to 55x for collateral withdrawals, 40x for vault requests, 38x for perpetual market requests, and 22x for order submissions.
MonoMove integration is expected to be completed by the end of 2026, with a mainnet launch planned for 2027 pending governance approval.
