I will never get tired of repeating just how brainwashed people have become by the idea of decentralization and freedom, and by the belief that they are fighting the financial system with blockchain!
Blockchain wasn’t invented by some geeks in a garage. It was created by some pretty smart people in government! And the goal is far from making people free — quite the opposite. In 10–20–30 years, it could be used to create absolute control over everything! Digital control!
I already said that people will look back nostalgically on the time when they could give a friend $100 in cash and nobody in the world knew about that “transaction.” That was real decentralization and anonymity!
Now for the news! The Cardano Foundation has announced the launch of a new standard, CIP-0113, for regulated stablecoins, funds, bonds, and other tokenized assets. Issuers will be able to embed KYC/AML checks, sanctions restrictions, and even the ability to block transfers to certain addresses directly into tokens.
People will be presented with this, as always, with the standard narrative of fighting fraud, terrorism, ensuring security, and so on. But this is complete bs! Imagine what this could look like in 2036!
People have always loved romanticizing the fight against the system and those in power. But throughout history, people who started revolutions often ended up facing even more bs years later.
There is nothing romantic about blockchain or cryptography! $ADA
