Best weekly close in 8 months is bullish on the surface, but the “last time it fell 30%” comparison needs context. One historical setup does not make the same outcome likely again. What matters is what is driving this close. If $BTC is pushing higher with strong spot demand, healthy ETF inflows and funding staying under control, then I would treat this more like a genuine breakout attempt. If open interest is exploding, funding gets overheated and everyone starts chasing the move late, then the trap risk increases fast. The other thing I’d watch is how BTC behaves on the first proper pullback. Real breakouts usually hold above old resistance and turn it into support. Fake breakouts usually lose the level quickly and trap the late buyers. So for me, the weekly close is a good signal, but not enough by itself. The real confirmation is whether $BTC can hold the breakout after the excitement cools off. That tells you much more than what happened the last time a similar candle printed.
