Raoul Pal's entire allocation strategy in one line: Buy Nasdaq. Buy $BTC. Stop overthinking.

His thesis? Only two asset classes actually beat currency debasement — tech stocks and crypto. Gold and real estate just keep pace. He's been saying it for years.

On trading: "99% of people can't sell the top and buy the bottom." So don't try.

His riskier play? Layer 1s — $ETH, $SOL, and others. He's personally heavy into $SUI, but only because his balance sheet can absorb a wipeout. For everyone else, he says stick to $BTC, $ETH, $SOL.

The numbers back him up. $BTC is up 4.2x from the 2022 low. Nasdaq 100 is up 2.9x. Bitcoin tracks global liquidity at 87–90% correlation. Nasdaq at 95–97%.

His current read: $BTC outperforms Nasdaq as rates rise because fiscal dominance forces fresh liquidity into the system.

But here's the tension.

Nasdaq is near all-time highs. Hedge funds are net long at levels not seen since 2017.

$BTC is sitting 30% below its ATH of $126,198.

"Stop overthinking it" sounds great when both legs are working. It's a different conversation when one's at a record and the other's down a third.

So the trade idea: If you believe liquidity is about to flood back in, $BTC at 30% off highs is the better risk-reward than chasing Nasdaq at record levels. The setup is asymmetric.

But if liquidity stalls or reverses, that 30% gap can widen fast. Risk it accordingly.
