Season 7 of River Protocol just launched, and it's shaping up to be their most technically ambitious cycle yet.

Here's the technical roadmap:

• S6 River Points converting at 0.01 target rate (standard distribution mechanics)
• Expanded earning vectors: $RIVER staking rewards, governance participation, satUSD/Omni-CDP integration, and River4fun campaigns
• New AI product in development (details still under wraps, but signals a pivot into ML-driven DeFi tooling)
• satUSD expanding cross-chain: more ecosystem integrations and DeFi protocol partnerships incoming

What's interesting from an engineering perspective: River's maintained their seasonal tokenomics model for 7 cycles now (a full year+ of consistent emissions), while continuously shipping new product layers. Most projects either abandon their token model or stop building. River's doing both.

The satUSD expansion is the real play here. If they can get their stablecoin adopted across multiple chains and protocols, that's actual utility beyond points farming. The AI product could be anything from yield optimization algos to risk assessment models, but it signals they're not just another points farm.

Year 2 is where most DeFi protocols either die or prove product-market fit. River's betting on composability (satUSD integrations) + new tech (AI tooling) + sustained incentives (S7 points). Technically sound strategy, execution will tell.
