Tether’s USDT is “coming home” to Bitcoin this month, more than a decade after it first debuted on the network.
A Tether-backed project, Utexo, plans to bring new USDT functionality to Bitcoin, including private USDT transfers, direct BTC ↔ USDT swaps, and BTC-backed loans.
The interesting part is that most transaction data is expected to stay off Bitcoin’s public ledger, aiming to improve privacy and scalability while still leveraging Bitcoin’s security.
If this rollout works as planned, it could open up a new chapter for stablecoins and DeFi on Bitcoin. 🚀
#Bitcoin + #USDT could be a very interesting combination to watch. 👀
