$BNB BNB is more than the token behind Binance. It is the native asset of the wider BNB Chain ecosystem, powering transactions across BNB Smart Chain, opBNB and Greenfield while also playing a role in on-chain governance.
The network has been going through a meaningful infrastructure upgrade. The August Pasteur hard fork introduced a new block-building architecture, and BNB Chain says the upgrade has already enabled roughly 28% more gas per block under live mainnet conditions, with further capacity increases being rolled out.
Supply is another part of the BNB story. The 36th quarterly burn removed 1,615,827.795 BNB in July, taking the reported remaining supply to about 133.17M at the time.
That combination matters because BNB has two different drivers to watch: actual activity across the chain and the long-term reduction in token supply.
From a trading perspective, I’d focus on whether price can continue holding its recent higher-range structure while volume confirms the move. A breakout without participation would be less convincing; sustained demand alongside increasing BNB Chain activity would give the move more context.
For BNB, the interesting question isn't simply whether price is rising. It is whether network usage, scaling improvements and supply reduction are translating into sustained market demand.
