According to Jin10, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said Iran has proposed a plan to the United States to reopen the Strait of Hormuz within seven days, but only if specific conditions are met. He said the plan would move forward on the basis of a memorandum of understanding reached by the two countries in June, and added that it would be better if the matter could be completed before the U.S. midterm elections, though that depends on the U.S. government's decision. Araghchi also said Iran does not care about the exact timing and is not in a hurry to push the process forward.
