BNB Market Cap Passes BNY Mellon — A Major Crypto Milestone 🟡

BNB has reached a notable milestone in the global market.

BNB’s market capitalization has moved above $100 billion, recently surpassing the market value of Bank of New York Mellon (BNY Mellon). At the reported level, BNB stood around $104.95 billion, compared with approximately $104.41 billion for BNY Mellon.

But the bigger story is what is happening underneath that market-cap number.

BNB Chain continues to show significant on-chain activity, with roughly $911 million in 24-hour DEX volume, $7.28 billion in 7-day volume, more than 18 million daily transactions and over 2 million active addresses in the latest available data.

That combination of market value and network activity highlights how large the BNB ecosystem has become.

BNB is no longer being viewed only as an exchange-related crypto asset. Its market value is increasingly connected with activity across a broader blockchain ecosystem — including DeFi, trading, stablecoins and on-chain applications.

The comparison with BNY Mellon is especially notable because it puts a crypto asset’s market capitalization alongside that of a major traditional financial institution.

Crypto and traditional finance are built differently, so market-cap comparisons should not be treated as a direct comparison of businesses. But the milestone clearly shows how far the crypto market has expanded.

BNB continues to build.
BNB Chain continues to scale.
And the numbers are getting harder to ignore. 🟡
