$BTC reclaiming the 50-week EMA has some serious history behind it.
In previous major bear markets, getting a weekly close back above this level after the low was established often marked a meaningful change in the bigger trend. We saw similar reclaims in 2015, 2019 and 2023, and those moves were followed by extended recoveries. It’s not a perfect signal though — the 2021–22 cycle had failed reclaims before the final low was in.
That’s why I’m looking at the current close a little differently. $BTC has now closed above the 50-week EMA for the first time since November 2025, so the next test is whether price can actually hold this area as support instead of giving the breakout back.
If that structure holds, $90K becomes a very interesting level to watch next. The historical signal gives the move context, but price still has to prove it.
