🚨 BREAKING: $322M+ IN CRYPTO HACKS REPORTED THIS WEEK

Crypto security is back in the spotlight after the Liquid Network, a Bitcoin-linked blockchain used by multiple exchanges, suffered a massive breach.

Around 4,000 BTC worth roughly $320M was withdrawn from Liquid’s federation wallet — nearly 95% of the Bitcoin reportedly held there. The network has paused new transactions while investigators work to determine exactly how the funds were removed.

The incident comes just days after other crypto exploits, adding to growing concerns around infrastructure, custody and smart-contract security. Recent reports put total publicly identified crypto exploit losses for September’s first week at more than $322M, with the Liquid incident accounting for the overwhelming majority.

What makes this case unusual is that Liquid says the withdrawals were carried out by “purported white-hat hackers” and that its cryptographic keys were not compromised.

Crypto adoption continues to grow, but incidents like this show that security remains one of the biggest risks facing the industry.
