Enter the code only in the registration session you initiated. A person claiming to finish registration for you does not need to receive it.
4. Create Your Password
For this registration route, the code check comes before password creation. The documented minimum is eight characters, including an uppercase letter and a number.
Choose a longer, unique password and store it securely, preferably in a password manager. Reusing the password for your email account would expose both accounts if that password were compromised.
5. Continue to Identity Verification
After registration, follow the verification prompt. New users must complete identity verification to access Binance services, including crypto deposits and trading. Approval of your identity and access to a particular payment method are separate checks.
Can You Register With Google, Apple or Telegram?
Binance also documents alternative registration methods. Use the options offered on your sign-up screen rather than expecting every interface to look identical.

Match the Document to the Right Country
A Colombian resident using a Colombian document would select Colombia for both residence and issuing country. A foreign national living in Colombia and using a foreign passport would select Colombia as residence and the passportās issuing country separately.
For example, someone residing in BogotĆ” with a Peruvian passport should not describe that passport as Colombian. Equally, a Colombian citizen living abroad should enter their actual residence instead of selecting Colombia solely because of their citizenship.
Use a cĆ©dula de ciudadanĆa or passport only when the relevant document option is offered for your situation. Do not assume that a temporary document, residency permit or screenshot of a digital credential will be accepted as a substitute.
When reviewing names, pay attention to multiple given names and surnames. For example, āMarĆa Fernanda LĆ³pez GarcĆaā should not be shortened to āMarĆa LĆ³pezā merely because that is the name used socially. If the fields do not accommodate your document correctly, seek help before confirming inaccurate details.
If Binance Requests Proof of Address
An address check is a separate document requirement. Follow the requested document types and recency rules; Binanceās general guidance varies by jurisdiction, so a universal three-month rule would be misleading.
A bank statement or utility bill may qualify when it meets the applicable requirements. Check that the document contains your name, full residential address, issuer and required date information.
For a Colombian address, preserve meaningful details such as the carrera or calle designation, building number and apartment. A street address without the apartment can describe a different level of detail from the document you submit.

How Long Does Verification Take?
Binanceās personal verification guide says submitted documents are usually reviewed within 48 hours, although some cases take longer. Use the status shown in your account and respond to any further information request.
Registration and identity review have separate completion points. Avoid planning a time-sensitive purchase around an assumption of immediate approval.
