WTI Crude Oil
finished flat overnight at $90.63 (-0.06%) retreating from the almost six-week high of $92.29 it hit earlier in the session.
The retreat came on some preliminary signs of easing in the latest “SoH” flare-up, with no confirmed new exchange of fire since around lunchtime yesterday our time.
If the easing holds, and it is a big if, it won’t be long before oil moving out of the Strait via dark-ship transits and ship-to-ship transfers returns to the levels we saw at the end of last week. The next 24 – 48 hours will be crucial on that front.
