Honestly, this is one of the more interesting shifts I’ve seen lately. Robinhood Chain reportedly generated about $2.66M in app revenue in 24 hours, beating Ethereum’s roughly $1.28M in that snapshot. But here’s the catch: memecoin trading is doing most of the heavy lifting. GMGN, Pons and Uniswap accounted for about 88% of the revenue.
So what is everyone trading? Mostly memecoins, not the tokenized stocks Robinhood originally built the chain around. Pons alone saw around 22,600 tokens launched in one day, showing just how speculative the activity has become.
My personal take: this is impressive, but I wouldn’t call it an Ethereum killer yet. Robinhood Chain has found product market fit with traders, now it needs to prove that activity can survive after the meme frenzy cools.
