#dusk $DUSK @Dusk I’ve been digging deeper into Dusk, and I keep coming back to one uncomfortable thought:
strong cryptography doesn’t automatically create a secure system.
Dusk’s PVM uses WASM to keep contract execution modular and portable, while its consensus layer uses voting committees, BLS signatures and aggregation to make agreement less expensive to verify.
Its privacy architecture adds another layer, with Argon2, Equihash and PLONK addressing different parts of the security and privacy stack.
But this is where it gets interesting for me.
A blockchain can have solid cryptography and still inherit risk from the layers around it.
The recent bridge incident made that painfully clear. Operational keys, bridge infrastructure, wallet controls and integration points can become the attack surface long before the underlying consensus is actually broken.
That’s also why I’m watching Dusk’s Chainlink integration closely. CCIP could give tokenized assets on DuskEVM a more standardized route across ecosystems, while cross-chain token standards can improve $DUSK interoperability.
But interoperability also means more dependencies.
So I’m not asking whether Dusk has impressive technology.
I’m asking whether its entire security model holds when everything is connected, capital is moving, and real users are depending on it.
That’s where the real test begins.
