According to Jin10, Counterpoint Research data showed that Apple's iPhone 17 was the world's best-selling smartphone in the second quarter of 2026, with a 6% share of global smartphone shipments, while the iPhone 17 Pro Max and iPhone 17 Pro ranked second and third, respectively. Apple and Samsung each held five spots in the global top 10 best-selling smartphone list, and the top 10 models accounted for 26% of total global smartphone sales, up 2% year on year. The standard iPhone 17 remained the best-selling smartphone this quarter, and major upgrades narrowed the gap with the Pro models. On Samsung Electronics' side, two Galaxy S series models entered the top 10, with the Galaxy S26 Ultra becoming Samsung's best-selling model this quarter, rising five places from the previous generation and also ranking as the best-selling Android model this quarter.
