I went deeper into Dusk’s reward mechanics, and there’s more to the story than simply looking at the advertised yield.
The important part is how the block reward is actually distributed.
Block production receives the primary allocation, while the remaining reward is connected to consensus participation and validator activity. So the headline APY doesn’t necessarily tell the full story of what an individual participant can realistically earn.
This is where Dusk’s design gets interesting.
Provisioners are not passive holders. They need to maintain infrastructure, remain online, participate consistently and contribute to network security. In return, their rewards depend on actual participation rather than just holding $DUSK .
For me, the key metric isn’t simply:
“What is the reward percentage?”
It’s:
“How effectively does the reward system compensate the infrastructure and consensus contribution securing the network?”
That’s the part worth analyzing when evaluating Dusk’s tokenomics.
Don’t judge a PoS network by APY alone.
