BullishGood morning, Usual family โค๏ธ
Just a friendly reminder, in the context of the latest protocol changes: USD0 rewards for locked USUALx will drop by roughly 70 to 75%, as a result of lower protocol revenues. This reduction comes from the work the Usual team is doing to reduce inflation ๐ซถ and make the protocol more sustainable in the long run. ๐ Because of this, a USUALx free unlock window is open from January 27 at 00:00 UTC until February 3 at 00:00 UTC, with February 2 being the last full day to take action.
Anyone with USUALx locked, whether it is for one month, three, six or twelve months, can select the free unlock option, with no fee. It is important to note that the unlock does not happen instantly, it only takes effect once the window closes, on February 3 at 00:00 UTC. Even if a position is marked for unlock now, this weekโs USD0 rewards remain intact and are distributed as usual until the end of the period.
The measures taken by the team to reduce inflation naturally led to a drop in protocol revenues, from around 27 to 28 million USD per year to roughly 6 million, and this is automatically reflected in the level of USD0 rewards distributed to locked USUALx holders. For this reason, the free unlock window is offered as an option, both for those who no longer wish to continue under these conditions and for those who have multiple positions and want to merge them into one.
Unlocking is not mandatory. Anyone who wants to stay locked can do so without any issue. This message is strictly informational and aims to keep the community correctly and transparently informed. We are not hiding the fact that, during this period, USD0 rewards are being supplemented from the treasury, a supplement that will disappear once the unlock window closes. We are also not hiding that, going forward, rewards will be around 40,000 USD0 per week, based on current protocol revenues. Here the community is informed honestly and directly, with no marketing wrapper and no promises ๐ค
Together, we are bigger than BlackRock ๐ช
Paz, sexo y rock and roll ๐ค
