On August 5, the Ethereum Foundation announced a Trillion Dollar Security grant for WEBCAT. WEBCAT says its goal is to help people verify that code received in a browser matches an auditable, signed description of the application.
That is a technical project, but it also raises a human question: can the systems people rely on make trust more visible instead of asking for blind confidence?
