PayPal built its name by making payments feel quick. $PYPLB is a good reminder that quick access and good execution are not the same thing.
The pair may trade around the clock, but the order book can still be quiet. When the spread is wide or depth is thin, the last displayed price says very little about where a larger market order will actually fill.
That is why I would check the book before staring at the chart. The chart shows where trades happened. Depth shows what is available right now. In a thinner market, a limit order may provide more control than pressing Market and hoping for the best.
24/7 availability solves the clock problem. It does not remove slippage.
