🇸🇦 Saudi Arabia Rejects Israeli Military Flight Request

A Flydubai flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv made an emergency landing in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia, after a serious cockpit incident. Saudi authorities provided assistance, while the injured pilots were taken for medical treatment.

According to Reuters, Israel requested permission for Israeli military aircraft, including Super Hercules planes, to enter Saudi Arabia and bring Israeli passengers home.

Saudi Arabia reportedly rejected the request, and the passengers instead returned to Israel on another Flydubai flight.

The episode highlights Saudi Arabia’s current position: humanitarian assistance in an emergency, while maintaining its policy of no diplomatic relations with Israel and keeping Israeli military aircraft out of Saudi airspace.
