Apple counters steep iPhone price hike with cashback.Apple is leaning more heavily on cashback, trade-ins and easy payment options to cushion consumers from its steep iPhone price increases in India, rolling out a broader set of offers that can lower the effective cost of buying the latest models. The move comes as consumers face substantially higher upfront prices and have taken to social media to complain about the hikes, with the familiar “kidney” jokes once again making the rounds as buyers describe the latest iPhones as unaffordable. Under the new offers, customers can get up to Rs 7,000 cashback on the iPhone 18 Pro, 18 Pro Max and iPhone Duo, while the iPhone 17 gets up to Rs 5,000, as per retail sources. The iPhone Air gets Rs 4,000, the iPhone 17e and iPhone 16 get Rs 3,000 each, and the iPhone 15 gets Rs 2,000. Customers can also get additional benefits when they exchange an older phone, with the benefit depending on the value of the device being traded in. For the Duo and iPhone 18 Pro series, this can go up to Rs 10,000, while the iPhone 17 can get up to Rs 8,000. Apple is also offering customers more ways to spread the cost of their purchase. The iPhone 17, for instance, can be bought with 18- or 24-month interest-free EMI options, while other iPhone models also have options with different repayment periods. Customers using card EMI can get six months without interest, while longer tenures come with a reduced interest cost. A processing fee may apply. #AppleVsSamsung #iPhone18 $AAPL.US
