It slid steadily from a high of 2,578, breaking through several moving-average support levels. The price is now hovering around 2,454. A lot of people who are underwater are asking: Is it time to buy the dip, or is this rebound just a chance to get out? The current trend is clear: the price is being firmly capped by the EMA20, EMA60, and EMA200—a classic bearish trend. But! Take a look at the MACD below: DIF and DEA have formed an early golden cross below the zero line, and the green bars are getting shorter. What does this mean? The market is oversold and due for a technical rebound. Oversold rebound: Riding the momentum of the MACD golden cross, the big players may push the price up to test resistance at 2,495–2,500. The trend won’t truly reverse unless the price breaks above 2,500 on strong volume and holds there. Continuation of the downtrend: The rebound lacks strength, gets rejected around 2,460, and then the price breaks below 2,407 again, triggering another sharp sell-off.
