Payments from a third party’s account can create risks of later disputes or chargebacks. Binance also warns users to avoid receiving payments from third-party accounts and to keep transaction evidence.
So if you encounter this situation:
- Double-check the sender’s details and the order information.
- Don’t transfer USDT just because the other party keeps urging you.
- Don’t refund to a different account at the other party’s request without authorization.
- Keep the full chat history and payment proof.
- If anything seems off, use the Appeal (dispute) feature so Binance can assist with handling it. Binance P2P has escrow mechanisms and an Appeal process for disputes that arise.
What’s scary in P2P isn’t always “not receiving the money.”
Sometimes the money is already in your account, but the next thing you need to verify is the source of funds and the payment information.
