PANews reported on April 29 that the governance page showed that the PancakeSwap DAO proposal to "reduce block rewards" has ended, and the "active reduction" plan was voted in with 57.77% support. According to the proposal, "active reduction" means immediately adjusting the CAKE Syrup Pool release from 6.65 CAKE/block to 3 CAKE/block, and then reducing it by 0.5 CAKE/block per month for 5 months. The CAKE Syrup Pool release will be reduced to 0.35 CAKE/block in the sixth month (about 2% APR).
In addition, according to the official Twitter, the current CAKE Syrup Pool release amount has now been reduced to 3 CAKE/block.
