PREDICT subscription exceeds 100,000 BNB in 5 minutes—what's the value?
A Deep Tide flash news report at 16:07 on October 29 said that within five minutes of subscriptions opening, the amount submitted exceeded 100,000 BNB, against a target of 7,794.12 BNB—about 13 times the target. This is an early snapshot, not the final fundraising amount, and certainly not a forecast of price gains.
predict.fun is a prediction market on BNB Chain. The key things to watch are trading depth, slippage, and dispute resolution. In markets marked “Yield,” the USDT collateral backing positions is deposited in Venus to earn interest. The transfers were signed using account owners' keys, and no calls to Predict market or trading contracts were found in those transfers. The report relayed the project's suspicion that a third-party API documentation site had been compromised, along with its commitment to compensate users. The fixes and actual compensation still need to be followed up on.
A Binance Wallet announcement said that each user can subscribe for up to 6 BNB. After the Pre-TGE phase, users will receive a PREDICT Key, and the tokens will be airdropped to Alpha accounts at TGE. Subscribing, receiving a Key, and receiving tradable tokens are separate stages.
My view: the product is worth watching, but a 13x subscription rate doesn't answer whether the price is too high. Keep an eye on user retention, token utility, and security remediation.
