According to Jin10, TD Securities now expects the Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) to raise rates next week after Australia’s latest CPI data prompted the firm to revise its rate forecast. TD Securities analyst Prashant Newnaha said stronger third-quarter inflation confirmed the RBA’s decision to tighten monetary policy last month. The possibility of higher inflation forecasts further supports another rate hike in November. If the RBA raises the cash rate to 4.85% next week, that could mark the end of the current rate-hiking cycle.
