Asset manager VanEck said it no longer plans to launch its proposed exchange-traded fund holding Lido staked ether, delaying a product designed to give investors access to the liquid staking token.
In a filing with the SEC on Wednesday, VanEck Digital Assets said it “does not intend to proceed with the planned offering” of the trust’s shares. The company did not explain what prompted the decision or say whether VanEck intends to launch a replacement product.
VanEck initially filed the fund’s S-1 registration statement on October 16, 2025. The proposed fund would hold staked Lido ether (stETH) and seek to earn certain staking rewards by holding stETH.
