Injective has released its first comprehensively rewritten whitepaper since the initial version in December 2018. According to NS3.AI, the update positions Injective as a Layer 1 network focused on institutional-grade finance and asset tokenization.

The whitepaper outlines tokenized assets across issuance, trading, and settlement, and introduces native real-world asset tokenization mechanisms along with iAssets derivatives. It also says tokenized assets can trade on a fully on-chain central limit order book.

In addition, the protocol says on-chain revenue will flow toward regular INJ community buybacks.
