Aptos Labs announced MonoMove, which it described as the largest proposed upgrade in the history of the Aptos blockchain execution engine. According to ChainCatcher, internal tests showed MonoMove could run smart contracts up to 55 times faster than the current system.

On Decibel, the fully on-chain trading platform incubated by Aptos Labs, collateral withdrawal speed was said to improve by up to 55 times, while order placement speed improved by up to 22 times.
