The brokerage firm published its 'Restricted Counterparty List' and warned that users who interact with the listed entities may have their accounts blocked, funds frozen, and may be reported to regulatory authorities.

Bybit, one of the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchanges, published its 'Restricted Counterparty List,' a comprehensive list of more than 100 companies, platforms, services, and organizations with which any transaction, transfer, or contact is expressly prohibited. The exchange sent direct communication to its customers informing them about the measure and its implications.

The initiative reinforces Bybit’s stance on regulatory compliance and combating money laundering and terrorist financing, at a time when global regulators are increasing pressure on the digital assets sector. The list ranges from terrorist groups to exchanges operating in sanctioned jurisdictions.

The set of blocked entities is broad and varied. At the top of the most internationally known organizations are the Lazarus Group, a collective of hackers associated with the North Korean government and responsible for some of the largest attacks on cryptocurrency exchanges in history, as well as groups such as Hamas, Ansarallah, and ISIS-K.
