According to Jin10, Goldman Sachs lowered its global smartphone shipment forecast to 1.1 billion units in 2026 and 1.2 billion units in both 2027 and 2028. Despite weaker shipments, it said the global smartphone market will reach $624 billion in 2026 and rise to $674 billion in 2028, driven by higher prices and premium models. Goldman Sachs also remained bullish on foldable phones, forecasting shipments of 77 million units by 2028.
