Libya's state-owned National Oil Corp said some members of the Petroleum Facilities Guard blocked the gates of the Zawiya refinery and the Brega Petroleum Marketing Company, forcing the refinery to shut down. According to Sina Finance, the company said Valve 7 in the Hamada area of the Sharara crude oil pipeline remained closed, warned that continued obstruction would cause a complete paralysis of operations at the integrated facility, and said its board was preparing to declare force majeure within hours if the valve was not opened.
