Anthropic said its chatbot Claude now leads 26% of the company’s artificial intelligence research and development work, up from nearly zero at the start of this year. According to ChainCatcher, the company said in a report released Thursday that the shift is one of the clearest signs yet that AI can accelerate the development of future models.

Anthropic also said Claude collaborates with employees on about 90% of work. The company added that more than one-quarter of its AI research and development is driven by Claude.
