The Fed raised rates 25 basis points to 3.75%–4.00%. First hike since 2023. And crypto barely flinched.

BTC dropped to around $75K before the decision, then rebounded above $76K after. ETH recovered to around $2,400.

That's not what most people expected. Higher rates usually pull money out of risk assets.

But the hike was largely priced in. The real surprise was in the dot plot: 16 of 18 officials now expect at least one more hike this year. In June, only eight thought so.

Meanwhile, ETF flows tell a different story. US spot BTC ETFs recorded $450 million in net outflows on September 16 — the largest single-day exit since June. ETH ETFs lost another $141 million.

So: price holding, leverage flushed, but institutional money stepping back.

I'm watching whether BTC can hold the $75K support. The question isn't whether the hike is done. It's whether higher-for-longer rates keep ETF money on the sidelines.
