According to Jin10, China's State Administration for Market Regulation has launched 10 landmark projects for the 2026 quality chain initiative, with expected results set to fill urgent gaps in key areas and further strengthen quality support for major industries. The plan will continue work in key areas such as high-end instruments and meters, new energy, and industrial robots, while expanding into new directions including embodied AI robots and solid-state power batteries. It will also add key areas such as industrial machine tools, drones, and advanced synthetic biology manufacturing, and will coordinate standards, metrology, inspection and testing, certification, and accreditation across the full quality infrastructure chain, with 166 research tasks deployed in rolling fashion this year.
