Digital asset protection and insurance provider Coincover has raised $30 million in a funding round that will be used for hiring, product updates and pursuing partnerships. The round was led by Silicon Valley investment firm Foundation Capital. Coincover provides cryptocurrency investors and companies with protection and insurance-backed guarantees through its technology platform. Insurance cover is underwritten by Lloyds of London.
The UK-based company was founded in 2018 by CEO David Janczewski and CTO Adam Smith. Coincover completed a $9.2 million Series A round of financing the year before, led by Element Ventures.
