According to TechFlow, Web3 credential data network Galxe posted on the X platform that the website has been fully restored and will continue to strengthen security.

Galxe said that on October 6, an unidentified person contacted its domain service provider Dynadot, posing as an authorized member of Galxe and bypassing security procedures with forged documents. The impostor then accessed the domain account without authorization and used it to redirect users to a fake website and sign transactions that stole user funds.

Galxe said the incident only affected the domain name and front-end application. All Galxe smart contracts and technical systems are safe and protected. It is estimated that approximately 1,120 users who interacted with the malicious website were affected and approximately $270,000 was stolen.

In addition, Galxe stated: “We are actively working with law enforcement and third-party experts to develop a fund recovery plan. We will ensure support for everyone affected. Once we obtain a complete list of transactions, we will notify users of the next steps.”
