A Critical Update from Terra Classic Developers:
The Terra Classic (LUNC) community continues its efforts to revive the network and strengthen the ecosystem. At the heart of these efforts is the mainnet integration of Market Module 2.0 (MM2.0) and the USTC Staking module. Based on the explanations made by developers through Telegram and official channels, along with the test processes carried out, the timeline for these critical steps is becoming clear. Here are the key steps in the MM2.0 and USTC Staking module mainnet transition timeline:
1. Where Are We Now? (August 2026)
As of now, MM2.0 and the USTC Staking module are being intensively tested in testnet and simulation environments within closed/validator groups. During this phase, critical elements such as the modules’ security, oracle price feeds, and reward distribution mechanisms are being examined carefully. The goal is to identify and address any potential issues or vulnerabilities before the transition to mainnet.
#ustc 2. What’s Next?
After all tests in August 2026 are completed, the code will be made public and submitted to a community vote on the Agora Governance Proposal (Governance Proposal) in order to add it to the chain. This voting process will give the community a 7-day period to express its views on the proposal and participate in the decision-making process.
3. Mainnet Upload (Mainnet Upgrade)
If the Agora Governance Proposal is approved with a 67%+ “yes” vote in the community vote, a Software Upgrade Proposal date will be set for a specific block height for validators. This date will mark the time when the mainnet upgrade will take place and when the MM2.0 and USTC Staking module will become active.
The integration of the MM2.0 and USTC Staking module into mainnet is an important step toward reviving the Terra Classic ecosystem. The developers’ meticulous testing processes and the community’s governance decisions
