I just saw the announcement: TOWNS has been marked for observation. I only finished its chip analysis yesterday, and today it already came true.
But I need to remind everyone—many people think getting tagged for observation means you’re done for. That may not be the case. Old-timers should remember: before delisting, some coins will actually run up for a wave.
The most典型 example is ALPACA. Last year, Binance announced it would delist ALPACA. Logically, you’d expect a drop, right? What happened instead—after the delisting news came out, it dipped briefly by 30%, then within three days it surged nearly 12x, jumping from about 0.029 to a peak of 0.3477. That’s roughly a 50x increase from the price at the time of the delisting announcement. The short sellers got instantly squeezed and liquidated. In the past 24 hours alone, $50 million was wiped out—more than even BTC.
Why did this happen? The logic is simple: the market maker still holds a large amount of chips that hasn’t been distributed yet. After delisting, liquidity dries up—no one will be able to run away. So before delisting, they must create a price action wave, attract retail to take the other side, and complete their final distribution.
FARM and HIGH are similar: once tagged for observation, they both went straight to a “limit-up to limit-down” move. FARM surged 25% within an hour, and HIGH’s amplitude hit 29% within two hours.
This coin at
$TOWNS has a pretty bad structure: circulating supply is only 36%, while 63% is locked up. The team plus institutions plus the treasury holds the lion’s share. Its market cap is over $9 million, and the order book is so thin it’s basically like paper. After being tagged for observation, if the market maker still has chips left to unload, it’s not out of the question they’ll replicate ALPACA’s script—put on one last frenzy to lure in bag-chasers.
Pay attention: this money is not for retail investors. How many people got liquidated and how many chased high and got trapped during ALPACA’s move? The market maker is pumping to distribute, not to make you rich. If you really think you can gamble, weigh the risk yourself—don’t go all-in, don’t use leverage, and set a stop-loss.
I personally won’t touch this coin, but I’ll put it on my watchlist as an observation sample to see whether this round replicates ALPACA’s playbook. For brothers who want to trade it, remember this—before delisting they’ll pump, and before delisting they’ll also dump. Don’t end up being the last one left holding the bag.
