To be honest, things like hidden undercurrents never give a heads-up on the chart. This $LAB move, I’ve been watching it for days: the four-hour structure keeps getting more awkward; the rebound’s highs keep getting lower one after another, yet the volume always keeps shrinking. Put simply, this formation is bulls stubbornly holding on— the longer they prop it up, the faster that breath gets released afterward. Some people keep staring at that big order, thinking the pressure sitting overhead is the “anchor needle.” I don’t think so. It’s exactly this kind of openly visible order, the transparent chips, that makes the market lose the courage to disagree. Think about it: if everyone knows there’s selling pressure above, who would actually spend real money to lift the sedan? Every time it’s pulled up, what you see isn’t chase-buy follow-through, but opponent orders looking to escape when liquidity is good.
In this kind of environment, rebounds aren’t an opportunity—they’re a concession, a chance for you to reassess risk levels. Our short thesis isn’t complicated—just one point: after each rebound, are the lows still moving downward? As long as this structure hasn’t been broken, shorting into strength is simply riding the current. Don’t try to guess when that big order will move—you can’t guess it anyway, and there’s no need to. Just know that if it doesn’t move, the market won’t really be able to take off. That’s enough. Of course, I’m not saying you should immediately go heavy and bet on anything right now. I’m saying that at this position, the risk-reward is clearly tilted toward the short side. The most dangerous thing in trading is when you start arguing with the market—telling yourself, “It should go up,” and then rushing in to catch the falling knife.
Whatever signals the chart gives, we respond accordingly. What it’s giving right now is a weak signal, so we respect it. And honestly, in this kind of low-volume, slow-drifting downside market, the hardest part isn’t the loss—it’s the patience. You watch it bounce a little now and then, and your hands get itchy, but as long as the structure hasn’t flipped, every bounce is a chance to adjust your position—not a chance to change your stance. Hold your impulses. Wait for the structure to speak.
