BNB Chain’s TVL ranking is there to see—its ecosystem size is still in place. However, as this bear market comes, the quality of surviving projects varies widely. I’ve seen the script where, once it drops to a certain level, DeFi protocols trigger a cascade of liquidations. The 2019 Compound liquidation wave and the 2022 Luna going to zero both started from small cracks.

So my current view is: whether BNB can hold up doesn’t depend solely on BNB itself—it depends on how well the leverage across the protocols on-chain is managed. If the 673 support level breaks, there may be another layer below. But if the core protocols on-chain can stay steady, this area is likely a bottom range.

What does all of this mean in practical terms? Who will be affected? For people dealing with contracts, on-chain lending, liquidity mining—when liquidation comes in a wave, the ones who get hurt the most are always the group with high leverage. I’m not saying you should rush in to “catch the bottom.” I’m saying: you need to be clear about what you’re actually betting on.

$BNB holds $694 — leverage stacked tight on both sides of price.

$BNB is trading around $693.93, basically flat on the day after last week's breakout from $600 to a $726 high. The 4h chart shows healthy consolidation since then — chopping between $680-710, not breaking down, just resetting after a strong run.

The liquidation map explains the choppiness well. Heavy 50x leverage is packed directly around current price, roughly $682-709, on both the long and short side. That's a lot of contested liquidity sitting right where BNB is trading, which is exactly why price keeps whipsawing instead of picking a clear direction — neither side has been flushed out yet.

Levels worth watching: a clean break above $709 opens room toward the next resistance band near $723-765, where lighter 25x-10x positions sit. Losing $682 puts BNB back in the thicker liquidity zone toward $625-667, where a faster move could unfold.

For now, this reads as consolidation after a strong breakout — not distribution. The bigger trend from $600 is still intact as long as BNB holds above the low $680s.
